Watco units WAMX 3851 and 3844 sit next to the historic passenger depot in Northport, Alabama. The depot is now used by the local model train club, the Black Warrior Model Railroad Society. On this particular Saturday, a few crew members were kind enough to bring both University of Alabama units for a photo shoot just outside the depot. Alabama Southern 3851 sits with 3844 outside the historic GM&O depot in Northport, Alabama just north of Tuscaloosa. The crew was nice enough to bring them out to the depot for a special photo shoot. The depot is now home to the local model railroad club, the Black Warrior Model Railroad Society. The locomotives were painted into a commemorative University of Alabama paint scheme that reads "Pulling for the Tide" on each side. |
